Scorpio Weekly Horoscope
Wednesday’s Scorpio Full Moon reflects the Sun/Mercury conjunction in your relationship sector, bringing up intense feelings over your most significant connection, which has been under the redefinition process that Mercury always brings on when he journeys backwards. It hasn’t been easy, but it has been for your betterment, and the sooner you embrace that the better. Mars, your other ruler, has just squared Mercury too, making things even more sticky, but all change comes from the discomfort that ensues when conflict rears its head. It’s all about the change that’s on the horizon. Change is hard, and it usually scares us, but if you can allow it, knowing you’re called to expand into a newer dimension of your Self, this can be a joyful ride instead of an intense process.

NASA’s New Eye on the Sun Delivers Stunning First Images
here is the link.. http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/sdo/news/first-light.html
NASA's recently launched Solar Dynamics Observatory, or SDO, is returning early images that confirm an unprecedented new capability for scientists to better understand our sun’s dynamic processes. These solar activities affect everything on Earth.
Some of the images from the spacecraft show never-before-seen detail of material streaming outward and away from sunspots. Others show extreme close-ups of activity on the sun’s surface. The spacecraft also has made the first high-resolution measurements of solar flares in a broad range of extreme ultraviolet wavelengths.
"These initial images show a dynamic sun that I had never seen in more than 40 years of solar research,” said Richard Fisher, director of the Heliophysics Division at NASA Headquarters in Washington. "SDO will change our understanding of the sun and its processes, which affect our lives and society. This mission will have a huge impact on science, similar to the impact of the Hubble Space Telescope on modern astrophysics.”

Scorpio Weekly Horoscope
Weekly Horoscope04/19 - 04/25by Stephanie AzariaScorpioOctober 23 - November 22As Mercury retrogrades back over the steps you’ve taken with a significant other recently and Venus connects with nearly every planet, new forms of love and togetherness become possible now. The Sun arrives too, adding Light and warmth and new life to any important connection. All the relationship healing you’ve been after becomes much more tangible as Chiron the Master Healer moves into your house of romance and adventure. Plans for important journeys, literal and figurative, happen this week. It may seem as though these breakthroughs are way overdue, but nothing happens a moment before it’s supposed to. Just remember that Mercury is retrograding as these new chapters begin, so don’t finalize any plans, just keep making them, and have fun doing it.

Haenyo
From the Series Haenyeo: Korean Sea Diving Women
On the island of Jeju, elderly women plunge into the cold sea, disappear for minutes and return to the surface with abalone, octopus, sea urchin, seaweed and shellfish. They are the Haenyo, the sea women. They make a living out of harvesting the sea floor, freediving to depths of 20 meters and holding their breath for minutes.

Black Sea Culture
From the series Black Sea Culture
The present day tribal culture in the mountainous coastal areas south of the Caucasian mountains in Georgia and north of the Pontic Alps in Turkey hasn’t changed much in the last 3,300 years. The severe geography of these mountains helps retain pockets of traditional culture. Girls in this village vote every year whether or not they will continue to wear these ancient outfits that date back to time of the Genovese traders. On the other side of the Pontic Mountains, clothing is completely homogeneous.

I am fourteen
and my skin has betrayed me
the boy I cannot live without
still sucks his thumb
in secret
how come my knees are
always so ashy
what if I die
before morning
and momma’s in the bedroom
with the door closed.
I have to learn how to dance
in time for the next party
my room is too small for me
suppose I die before graduation
they will sing sad melodies
but finally
tell the truth about me
There is nothing I want to do
and too much
that has to be done
and momma’s in the bedroom
with the door closed.
Nobody even stops to think
about my side of it
I should have been on Math Team
my marks were better than his
why do I have to be
the one
wearing braces
I have nothing to wear tomorrow
will I live long enough
to grow up
and momma’s in the bedroom
with the door closed.

Scorpio Weekly Horoscope
Pluto has just gone retrograde, as he does every year around this time, which means you’re now on the track that runs directly toward the center of you. This runs opposite the track most are on, as Springtime brings everyone out of themselves, toward each other. The Mercury station occurs in your house of partnerships, adding to the feeling that you need to turn inward right now. But don’t panic, your partner is coming with you this time. The Aries New Moon in your house of health and well-being focuses you there for the next few weeks, and asks you to make some very essential self adjustments in order to be of service to those around you. This is a much more important beginning than you may realize. Mars has been activating a new career cycle since last October.

Horo for Thursday: Be easy
Thursday: The day’s a mixed bag. The daylight hours are unpredictable and edgy, with encounters flirting with discord where you don’t intend or expect it. At times like this, it helps to keep in mind that you are not the only person experiencing this energy. Everyone is, so give people slack and, most of all, pause before letting angry or self-pitying sentiments fly from your lips or keyboard. Later in the day, reason for feeling very good about your life is within reach. Expand your concept of what’s possible in your world and watch its contours billow out in response

Scorpio Weekly Horoscope
All those new thoughts you’ve found the courage to communicate these past few months are ready for a major processing. You won’t just be going back over these unprecedented ideas, but your ruler, Pluto, is going retrograde and that means your entire being is about to turn inward in order to take all your new self-expression home. Pluto’s station comes on the heels of a trine from Mercury the great messenger, who is traveling through your relationship sector. This implies that at least one significant relationship is the vehicle for this inner transformation that is on tap for you. Meanwhile, Saturn leaves your 12th house of secrets and hidden agendas and dips back into your house of support systems to give you the chance to strengthen those up. Despite the turn inward it is still time to make things happen.
Don’t waste a moment.

"Love is like a friendship caught on fire.
In the beginning a flame, very pretty,
Often hot and fierce,
But still only light and flickering.
As love grows older,
Our hearts mature
And our love becomes as coals,
Deep-burning and unquenchable."
