It’s tequila
It’s tequila, seen at over 1000x magnification. Florida State University research scientist Michael Davidson has made a project out of creating micrographs of booze at intense magnification levels, which produce images that look like they’re out of a bad acid trip. To make a micrograph, a drink is crystallized on a lab slide, and then a polarized light is passed through the crystal. Instant kaleidoscope. And no two drinks look alike. You wouldn’t believe what comes out of vodka
