Leni Riefenstahl, Nuba Dancers of Cau, 1975. The Nuba inhabit the Nuba Mountains in Kordofan province, Sudan. this is a beautiful picture. i'm not too hip about "the study of people" in the anthropological sense as oppososed to a sociological sense because it seems condescending, but I suppose it depends on the approach of the researcher.
