impact of opium


AK Kimoto had immense talent but his humble nature prevented him from trumpeting his insights. He spent considerable time in Badakhshan, Afghanistan, documenting the impact of opium production and addiction. In this way he photographed parents administering opium smoke into their children’s noses to dull the pangs of hunger. JW Delano
